I had been playing guitar and writing songs for years. As the songs slowly got better and better, I decided to record a couple of them. Fast forward a year, and a friend of mine reached out to me about recording something in an actual studio. Fast forward another year, and I had 4-5 songs recorded. I reached out to that same friend, recorded a few more songs, and sent them off to him for some proper mixing. The result is this album — I Want to Be Yours and Other Songs.\n\nWhile a few of the tracks developed over years of playing and changes, most of them were written in less than ten minutes. I would have a riff in my hand and a thought would pop into my head. A few minutes later, I would have the words to a new song. A few of the songs (including the title track) were written during my first few months of fatherhood. Other songs are about stories I heard as a kid, the struggle to write and perform music, and thoughts that have been on my mind for a long time.\n\nI had such a great time putting this album together.\n\nI hope you enjoy it.\n","charcoal",{},"2025-07-08",{"a":27,"b":32},[28,29,30,31],1,2,3,4,[33,34,35,36,37],5,6,7,8,9,"i-want-to-be-yours-and-other-songs","music/i-want-to-be-yours-and-other-songs",{"spotify":41,"appleMusic":42,"youtubeMusic":43,"amazonMusic":44,"bandcamp":45,"soundcloud":46},"https://open.spotify.com/album/5hitWldm8YSkLO0B6nnAPK?si=XGt1dVOqTWqG8gh6LkfRFQ","https://music.apple.com/us/album/i-want-to-be-yours-and-other-songs/1875647787","https://music.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_m9-fwX5X6-akFt_EXHaMl77qkEaQI2lOY&si=3H7D2GnFT3wpee_a","https://music.amazon.com/albums/B0GM1XF3RY?marketplaceId=ATVPDKIKX0DER&musicTerritory=US&ref=dm_sh_kCefPNt0uYszhrJlqOi5Hk6J6","https://havredegrace.bandcamp.com/album/i-want-to-be-yours-and-other-songs","https://soundcloud.com/havredegracemusic/sets/d1cefe1f-140c-4d54-a8f9-107c4adb92a7",[48,60,70,78,87,97,102,107,112],{"title":49,"duration":50,"audio":51,"writingStory":52,"recordingDetails":53,"credits":54,"lyrics":59},"I Want to Be Yours","4:26","/albums/i-want-to-be-yours-and-other-songs/music/i-want-to-be-yours.mp3","I was rocking and humming my 3-month-old son to sleep at 2am.
